Justice and Righteousness

Deuteronomy 16:20 - "Justice, and only justice, you shall follow, that you may live and inherit the land that the Lord your God is giving you."

Deuteronomy 32:4 - "The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he."

Isaiah 1:17 - "Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause."

Isaiah 5:16 - "But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice, and the Holy God shows himself holy in righteousness."

Isaiah 30:18 - "Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him."

Isaiah 61:8 - "For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them."

Jeremiah 9:24 - "But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord."

Jeremiah 22:3 - "Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place."

Micah 6:8 - "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Psalm 9:7-8 - "But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice, and he judges the world with righteousness; he judges the peoples with uprightness."

Psalm 11:7 - "For the Lord is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face."

Psalm 33:5 - "He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord."

Psalm 37:28 - "For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off."

Psalm 89:14 - "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you."

Psalm 103:6 - "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed."

Proverbs 21:3 - "To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice."

Proverbs 29:7 - "A righteous man knows the rights of the poor; a wicked man does not understand such knowledge."

Amos 5:24 - "But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

Zechariah 7:9-10 - "Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart."

Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
